FAQ

Tell me about the Studio

The Studio at One Space Events is a studio rental facility nestled within the One Source Events/The Loft DSM building. We offer hourly, daily, and monthly rental options giving you the opportunity to build your professional business and giving your clients the best experience possible.

How do I start?

All of our scheduling is done through the website to make it easy for you! You decide on how long of session you'll need through the BOOK NOW option and then you'll pick your day and time and follow through the steps! We do require first time renters to schedule a tour of the space before their first session. This can be done in advance or right before your session. Just let us know what works best for you and we will make it happen

Why do we need insurance?

We require business insurance to ensure liability is covered for both you and your clients. As someone running a business, it would be beneficial for you to have insurance regardless of whether or not you use studio space to protect not only your client should an accident happen, but also to product your business and your gear.

If you don't have insurance, www.thimble.com is a good resource for one day insurance.

What props do you have? Can I bring my own?

We have a variety of furniture pieces, lighting and backdrops for your use. You are welcome to bring your own pieces but storage is only available for Dedicated Space memberships.

How early can I come for my session?

To respect the time of each of our clients, all sessions begin and end promptly on your booked time. You are welcome to sit and wait in the One Source Events entry while you are waiting for your session to begin if there is another photographer using the space.

Why Choose The Studio?

The best thing about Des Moines is that we have a few different studio rental options. The Studio space is different than any other of the rental spaces due to the variety of options in one location. With three different looks including a few nooks and crannies, you aren't limited to create.

With that being said, we may not be the right fit for your vision this time. We are happy to recommend other spaces if you are looking for a specific asthetic.

How do I get in the building?

You and your clients will use the east entrance door. It is programmed to unlock 15 minutes prior to your session start time and will remain open for 30 minutes in case you are running behind. It automatically locks when it is closed after that time period. You will need to let your clients in the building at that entrance.
